Blanket scarves are a huge trend in the fall and winter, and can be worn not only around the neck, but around the shoulders like a shawl. This sweater feeds off of that trend. I like to wear it when I'm home (it's actually my sister's but I borrow it a lot- #sisterperks) in the winter because the wrap fit and thick material makes it warm and cozy like a blanket.
Because the sweater's plaid pattern is a bit preppy for my personal style, I paired it with a tucked in graphic tee and my combat boots to make it edgier (the boots also come in handy for walking in the snow).
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I personally enjoy winter, even with all of its struggles (I acknowledge though that living in the south, I experience a generally mild winter). However, I love layering pieces from my closet during the season to create new cozy ensembles.
